Position: Bouncer/Doorman
Location: The Mediterranean Bar, Aptos, CA
Shift: 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM Fri, Sat, Holidays
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
The Mediterranean Bar in Aptos is looking for a responsible, professional, and experienced bouncer/doorman to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Check IDs and enforce age restrictions for entry
- Monitor the door and control guest entry to ensure capacity limits
- De-escalate situations and remove unruly patrons if necessary
- Maintain a visible presence and keep an eye on the crowd
- Ensure compliance with bar policies and local regulations
- Occasionally assist bartenders with stocking and other small tasks
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a bouncer, security personnel, or similar role
- Strong situational awareness and ability to de-escalate conflicts professionally
- Must provide references from previous security or hospitality roles
- Ability to handle physical confrontations if necessary
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must be at least 21 years old
