Our client is seeking a dedicated EHS Manager to develop and implement strategies that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while achieving world-class safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold team members accountable to safety plans while communicating goals and successes.
- Identify and manage certification and training requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety training programs.
- Track and report KPIs for Environmental, Health, and Safety to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal air and water permitting regulations.
- Foster a safety-first culture through coaching, development, and employee engagement.
- Oversee contractor safety training and performance, maintaining high standards.
- Manage occupational health programs and oversee division nurse responsibilities.
- Ensure the quality and consistency of incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Monitor and manage workers’ compensation cases and litigation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or Environmental Sciences with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, OR 10 years of manufacturing management experience.
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience, ideally in Safety or Environmental roles.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and inspire a positive safety culture.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for environmental and health standards.
- Exceptional problem-solving and team-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in air permitting, reporting, and stack testing.
- Experience managing water sampling, stormwater, and wastewater events.
