Servers responsibilities include waiting on guests, ringing in orders, creating a fun atmosphere, and other general restaurant work to keep the restaurant functioning.
A server is the direct contact with our clientele.
You should be organized, engaging, responsible and ready to be hospitable in order to provide a lasting experience. With this position, comes the responsibility of bringing the information given to you directly to the consumer. You should be studious about menu items, restaurant policy and steps of service.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Make all guests feel welcome
· Clear and reset tables where needed
· Re stock glasses, silverware and dishes at service station, sweep floors when needed
· Serves alcohol responsibly
· Always get a manager when there is a problem
· Always be visible and available to guests
· Guest is always right attitude
· Educated in menu and able to speak to it
· Exceed guest expectations
· Positive role model to all team members. Uphold a cohesive environment for all team member
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Pertinent experience in a direct or related field
· Understanding of restaurant etiquette
· Familiarity with health and safety regulations
· Experience in serving tables or dealing with face-to-face customer interaction
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends , and holidays.
· High level of communication skills both with guests and management
· Organizational skills to manage your section and the restaurant on the whole
· A positive demeanor and willingness to work in a fun, energetic and fast paced environment.
· Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
· Ability to read your tables and anticipate needs of guests
· Willingness to participate in a rigorous training schedule prior to being scheduled live shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
