Metalworking Group is looking to add a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to our Fairfield location!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day to day inventory operations, including shipping/receiving, raw material inventory management, material handling, and finished goods inventory management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will work as a working Supervisor alongside shipping & receiving personnel.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned department.
- Coordinates training of new and current employees in Shipping & Receiving.
- Holds team accountable, including progressive discipline when necessary.
- Manages employee time and attendance, and updates hours appropriately.
- Follows receiving schedule and supervises truck inspections.
- Responsible for collecting receiving data and identifying variances compared to standards.
- Resolves issues regarding shipped orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for all warehouse functions, including receiving, inventory, picking orders, and packing orders for shipment.
- Responsible for overseeing day to day inventory operations, including shipping/receiving, raw material inventory management, material handling, and finished goods inventory management.
- Will also perform the duties of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk when needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The position requires moderate-to-heavy physical activity, including the ability to regularly handle packages in excess of 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A combination of an office environment as well as spending a significant amount of time of the manufacturing floor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of industrial warehouse experience is required
