Job Title: Development Intern (Fundraising Strategy & Operations)
Position Summary:
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (“the Foundation”) is seeking an Intern in our Fundraising Strategy & Operations (FSO) Department. The Intern will work directly with the Growth team to analyze compelling data across the Foundation’s revenue lines and provide recommendations. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to tracking the progress of various projects across the team, communicating process updates, and providing recommendations on strategic action to be taken. This internship will provide an opportunity to cross-collaborate with other resource teams and departments across the Foundation.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Track outputs, milestones, timelines, analytics and metrics of various projects across the Development Team
- Maintain Development calendar
- Prepare and distribute agendas for team wide weekly meetings
- Support a portfolio of strategic projects aimed at increasing the fundraising efficiency and effectiveness of the Development Business Unit
- Employ extensive and effective communication, coordination and teamwork across a group of internal customers within the Development Team
- Prepare a suite of recurring revenue reports and build new revenue reports as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve current reporting formats, processes and systems
- Establish and maintain channels for continuous feedback from the Development team regarding their requirements for resources, information, and support
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Experience with analyzing data and trends is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills reflecting precise attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize initiatives accordingly
- Creative, solutions-oriented with a proactive lens to problem solving
Salary:
The hourly range for this internship is:
- Undergraduate Students: $17-$19/hour
- Graduate Students: $19-$21/hour
