Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer Estimator to join our estimating team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate takeoff and pricing of work, including direct and indirect costs for heavy/civil/roadway/marine projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform plan and specification analysis, takeoff and pricing of road, bridge, marine, and other heavy/civil projects with values from $5 million to $400 million.
- Work with subcontractors and vendors to define scope and perform subcontractor and vendor analysis.
- Assist with all estimating functions for Lump Sum, Design/Build, and Unit Price projects.
- Collaborate with the budgeting, purchasing, and cost functions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of field construction experience.
- Minimum of 3 years as a full-time Road/Bridge/Marine estimator.
- Excellent computer skills and Heavy bid estimating software knowledge.
- Experience with computerized takeoff and/or design programs.
