POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Assistant Managers keep things spinning and shaking during scheduled shifts. Assistant Managers work alongside and lead team members to meet or exceed shift goals while maintaining a fun and professional retail environment. In addition to having an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day store operations, Assistant Managers have a hands-on role in the training of the team. They are trained to have a strong understanding of the company, culture, and team with a focus on providing an unforgettable experience for every customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Takes ownership of the front- and back-house store operations, merchandising, workflows, sanitation, organization and customer experience
- Aids in the creation of systems for achieving store-wide operational excellence with regards to cash management, food safety, inventory control, and employee performance
- Supports MSF human resources functions including staff training, coaching, motivating, feedback, and retention to ensure all team members have the tools to succeed
- In conjunction with the Manager, schedule and staff adequately the retail store to ensure retail operations function smoothly while keeping labor costs in line with the retail budget
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the MSF environment exceeds regulatory health and safety standards
- Leverage consumer insights and data sources to contribute to the creation of annual and seasonal marketing campaigns that resonate with customers
- Work with the Manager to ensure that all security cameras, alarms, locks, and security protocols are functioning and documented on a regular basis
- Compose succinct reports on retail performance for review with the Manager
- Act as a brand advocate to consumers and employees by communicating the company story, history, vision, and products including those for corporate accounts and special events
- Ensure that all POS register systems are operational at all times
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing sales setting
- Strong track record of creating an amazing customer experience while managing successful retail or restaurant teams, brands, operations and financials
- Availability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Composure, positivity, flexibility, and time management ability necessary to succeed in a performance-driven retail environment
- Exceptional leadership, communication, operational, problem-solving, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift and/or handle packaged goods and materials up to and including 25lbs
