What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Associate position at The Millennium Group?
Responsibilities:
• All event set up/breakdown recovery (table set ups, furniture movement, electrical cord configuration and pipe and drape installation/removal).
• All meeting set/breakdown.
• All employee desk moves (provide necessary moving boxes, move monitors, docking station, cables, desk phone, packed boxes).
• All new hire set ups (provide for new employee a nameplate, chair, trash can and mount monitors).
o Note: I.T. department provides initial docking station and cables and computer.
• All monitor adjustment requests.
• All monitor swaps.
• All chair swaps.
• All furniture moves.
• Chair movement between floors for meeting set up requests.
• Off-site delivery of company donations.
• Off-site event support for department and company picnics & events.
• Deliveries and pickups between Dolby sites and storage locations (I.e., equipment, furniture, televisions).
• GWS support calendar inputs.
• Electrical troubleshooting of up/down desk and employee electrical outage.
• Lead, sign in/out furniture vendors.
• Remove/install patio furniture.
• Cinema chair removal and replacement.
• Atrium artwork/banner removal and replacement.
• Scissor lift operation to move and replace high hanging items.
• Pallet and trash removal.
• Company van service appointments.
• Cover all patio furniture for the winter protection
• Install conference room tablet enclosure
• Furniture assembly for employees
• Minor furniture reconfiguration
• E-waste collection
• Setting of approximately all clocks, and battery replacement.
• Client meetings and pre-walk through for upcoming events
• Event gift deliveries (i.e., gift bags, champagne to employee desk and visiting employee's hotel)
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
• Prepare and send outgoing mail and packages, including scheduling pickups with courier services.
• Maintain accurate records of mailroom activities and inventory.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to staff.
• Handle special mailing/shipping requests and urgent deliveries.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Minimum 1-year experience in shipping/receiving preferred.
• Proficiency in MS-Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong work ethic; diplomatic; team player and service oriented.
• Able to handle multiple projects at one time with attention to detail.
• Punctual and reliable.
