Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscapes, ensuring that all outdoor areas are clean, safe, and well-kept. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for gardening, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively.
Duties
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing, edging, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks such as trimming shrubs, planting flowers, and maintaining garden beds.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including weeding, mulching, and irrigation system management to ensure optimal plant health.
- Inspect grounds regularly for cleanliness and safety hazards; remove debris and trash from outdoor areas.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new landscape projects as needed.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning and performing minor repairs to ensure longevity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using both hand tools (such as shovels, rakes, and pruners) and power tools (such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers).
- Knowledge of garden care techniques including irrigation practices, pest control, and plant identification.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while performing physical labor.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
