Job Summary :
The Assistant Clinical Manager is a first-line manager who collaborates with the Clinical Manager to direct nursing care, coordinate resources, and perform administrative activities. They provide leadership and support to staff while ensuring quality patient-focused care.
Responsibilities :
The Assistant Clinical Manager (ACM) supports the healthcare team in delivering quality patient-focused care by :
- Monitoring and evaluating patient care assignments based on patient needs and acuity level.
- Providing guidance on patient care and job-related requirements.
- Developing employees through monitoring, intervening, and interacting when appropriate.
- Participating in quality assessment and improvement programs.
- Enhancing unit behaviors through education, implementation of new concepts, and technology.
- Providing leadership in policy, procedure, and standard development.
- Facilitating, stimulating, and evaluating human resources for quality cost-efficient patient care.
- Documenting and communicating staff performance.
- Identifying staff educational needs and promoting learning.
- Identifying and resolving nursing care conflicts.
- Participating in performance appraisals and disciplinary action.
- Collaborating with Nursing Faculty and students.
- Contributing to organizational goals and objectives.
