Total Rewards Analysis & Support
The MJ Companies is seeking a strategic and dynamic Compensation & Total Rewards Specialist to support total rewards initiatives for clients across various industries. The Compensation & Total Rewards Specialist will play a critical role in supporting MJ consultants and clients in the areas of compensation, benefits, retirement, total rewards, and human resources communication. This role requires strong analytical skills, project management capabilities, and a customer-focused approach to deliver effective total rewards solutions to clients across a variety of industries.
Essential Functions
Total Rewards Analysis & Support
- Conduct job evaluations and prepare market benchmark analyses using multiple survey sources and analysis tools.
- Partner with MJ consultants and clients to provide total rewards project support, including compensation, benefits, retirement, and HR communication.
- Research and summarize trends related to compensation, benefits, retirement, and other total rewards programs.
- Identify themes and patterns in data to develop meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
- Build subject matter expertise on emerging topics such as pay transparency, absence management, and employee value propositions.
- Provide project management support for client engagements, including drafting proposals, creating project plans and timelines, coordinating meetings, and developing supporting documents.
- Collaborate with external clients and internal team members to address business challenges, develop relationships, and support client meetings and data review sessions.
- Organize and prepare reports for leadership review and partner with benefit and risk analysts to create cross-functional solutions for clients.
- Conduct gap and cost analyses, validate data, and develop reports, graphs, and charts.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with experience designing and managing complex spreadsheets.

- Work independently as a self-motivated team player in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience as a compensation analyst, human resource analyst, specialist, or financial analyst.
- Experience in problem-solving and interpreting data to draw actionable insights.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client engagements effectively.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with experience designing and managing complex spreadsheets.
