Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent is responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance of Mohegan Tribe infrastructure including, but not limited to, buildings, equipment, and grounds. Directs staff in the management and operation of all areas of responsibility, including building system maintenance and environmental services. Responsible for facilities planning and implementation of strategies, contract bidding and contractor oversight, and management of department expenditures and budget. Provides input and oversight of development and preservation of Tribal lands.
Minimum Requirements:
- Extensive working knowledge and skills in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, etc. trades.
- Experience with facilities management software (e.g., CAFM, CMMS)
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws and Tribal Ordinances
- Computer skills in Word and Excel
~AND~
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred
- Ten (10) years of experience in management of construction, buildings and grounds
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience
- Three (3) years of Project Management experience in construction or the building/grounds field
- Successful candidate must pass the background check in accordance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Protection Act (ICPA)
