Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent in this position is responsible for managing all aspects of infrastructure and desktop technology required for tribal government operations through the coordination and supervision of network hardware (including servers, cabling, switches, storage, etc.), software (such as troubleshooting and diagnostic tools, system management software, etc.). Additional responsibilities include managing all aspects of cybersecurity for the tribal government.
Minimum Requirements:
- Skilled in testing hardware technologies using appropriate methodology and techniques
- Skilled in advanced cybersecurity technologies and solutions
- Skilled in VMware deployment and configuration
- Skilled in coordinating computer systems design
- Skilled in network design and strong knowledge of firewall management
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Microsoft 365 installation and configuration
- Ability to observe, measure, and evaluate outcomes against goals and objectives and direct the development and implementation of solutions and/or organizational changes
- Ability to make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
- Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely and effectively
- Ability to compose and produce reports, documents and related material
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
- Ten (10) years’ experience with computer networking technologies, including configuring switches/VLANs/switches VOIP, systems support software, deployment practices, enterprise architecture standards, and general IT fundamentals
- Five (5) years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange, including installation and support
- Three (3) years’ experience managing a Microsoft 365 environment
- Advanced-level SAN support experience in installation, configuration and maintenance
- Advanced-level Cybersecurity experience including end-user training, network security and configuration
- Five (5) years’ supervisory experience at Manager level or higher, with two (2) of those years supervising a Help Desk/Call Center
- Available after hours as needed to support critical incident response or maintenance that can’t be accomplished during normal business hours
