Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent provides analysis of all gaming and related casino department operations to locate vulnerabilities for employee collusion, player cheating techniques and other anomalies. Also identifies improvements in processes, procedures and practices that provide opportunities to maximize growth and revenue.
Minimum Requirements:
• Working knowledge of all casino games, with particular knowledge on payoffs, odds, procedures and game protection
• Knowledge of all known cheating scams and advantage play techniques
• Ability to observe details, analyze problems and recommend solutions
• Surveillance data analytics, accounting, or finance gaming industry knowledge
• Ability to provide testimony in court proceedings
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to work with tribal and casino management
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Report-writing skills
• Strong organizational, math and computer skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Three (3) years surveillance experience in a high-volume, complex casino environment with experience in identifying and analyzing cheating techniques and other vulnerabilities
• Experience using SQL to pull and analyze pertinent data
• Experience with Power Pivot, Cognos, Tableau, or similar analytics software
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, which may include evening, overnight, weekend and holiday hours when necessary
• No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity.
• A Surveillance Officer cannot have a Family Member (spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, brother, sister, grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, in-law or co-habitant) who works in: Table Games, Slot, Cashiering, Count Rooms, Race Book, Credit, Security, Accounting, or Marketing Departments of Mohegan Sun. The Director of Regulation may exempt any person from this additional requirement upon a showing of good cause and may limit or condition the terms of such exemption.
