Our Customer is looking for a Vendor Management Consultant on a contract basis to help support their business needs. This role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI.
This role will assist Sourcing & Procurement in executing select vendor management processes and procedures that further the company's ability to meet changing regulatory requirements.
This role will require the ability to influence and communicate with suppliers, business owners, and functional peers across the NM organization and will be a may be asked to participate in key/special procurement related projects across the Finance and Risk Function. In addition, this role will require a process-oriented individual with strong communication/collaboration skills, an ability to solve supplier related issues, and a results-driven approach to delivering the desired outcomes in a fast pace and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Manages and maintains relationships for internal end users for all operational and transactional procurement activities
- Reviews and completes purchase requisitions submitted by internal end users
- Obtains quotations from vendors in some instances
- Issues purchase orders to vendors
- Performs change management on purchase orders (i.e. increases/decreases)
- Reconciles complex invoices to enable vendor payment
- Requests and manages valuable information regarding materials and services from approved vendors
- Onboarding of suppliers into NM’s Coupa P2P tool
- Maintains supplier information and other sets of procurement data related to the category
- Creates reports on supplier information and data
- Build and maintain collaborative and cohesive relationships with key internal business stakeholders to assist with efficiencies and positive end results as related to procurement
- Misc administrative/clerical tasks
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, or a relevant area preferred,
- Broad business experience involving Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Operations, Finance, or other related functions preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer programs including Coupa, Peoplesoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and related applications
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Strong conceptual and analytical thinking – using logic and reason to solve complex problems and make decisions in a changing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across organizational areas in a matrix environment.
- Experience in working with executive-level leaders in a significant advisory and leadership capacity.
- Understanding of negotiation and business relationship management skills
- General understanding of commercial and financial contractual terms
- Preferable to have knowledge or experience in financial services/investment services industry(s)
