The Monarch School and Institute is dedicated to providing an innovative, therapeutic education for individuals with neurological differencessuch as those associated with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder, learning disabilities, Tourette syndrome, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, traumatic brain injury and seizure disorders. We offer a learner-centered approach that helps students progress in Four Core Goal areas.
The Director of Admissions for The Monarch School reports directly to the Head of School and is considered a member of the day school faculty, the senior leadership team, financial assistance committee and the admissions team.

Masters degree in psychology, education, social work or counseling.

Marketing Face of Admissions
- Uses clinical experience and judgment to interview, help assess and prepare parents and students to enter The Monarch School.
- Serves as the initial point of contact for families who are interested in the admissions process or have general inquiries regarding Monarch School
- Primary case manager for families in the admissions process
- Liaisons with the professionals in the community.
- Maintains an office and organizes all student recruitment and admissions activities.
- Maintains professional relationship with feeder schools and referral sources.
- Works closely with the Marketing/PR team for coordinated public relations/marketing.
- Maintains on-going relationship with parents to support re-recruitment efforts and to encourage referral of new students.
- Develops and updates recruitment materials.
- Represents the school at recruitment fairs, conferences, and exhibits.
- Helps to create a national reputation of excellence for the school.
- Works with internal and external constituents to write a strategic recruitment and retention plan for the school.
- Coordinates and executes Tuesday Tours, including updating all slides and data represented.
Admissions and Record Keeping
- Works closely with the admissions team regarding student applications.
- Ability to fully understand and communicate diagnosis to the admissions team.
- Serves as the primary official for all foreign students who request a visa from Monarch and maintains necessary documentation with govt agencies
- Promotes and attends major school events.
- Utilizes technology as needed for record keeping, presentations, and communication.
- Maintains database of all admissions contacts, Monarch families and current alumni.
- Tracks cumulative student data, once enrolled, i.e. transcripts
- Maintains program enrollment data.
- Maintains system ensuring students in 11-12th have current transcript drafts by April of each year.
- Leads the admissions team ensuring the admissions process is timely and smooth for all stakeholders.
- Maintains accurate enrollment and projected enrollment with biweekly updates to program directors (per program) regarding current and projected enrollment status per program.
Head of School
- Prepares reports and presents to the Board of Trustees representing projected, current, and potential enrollment cases.
- Leads Financial Assistance Committee and assists families in the financial assistance application process
- Plans for and oversees re-enrollment timelines including enrollment during Spring/Summer ensuring new students begin on day 1 in August.

Working conditions range in a wide variety of challenges and deadlines. The best candidate should be able to perform well under pressure, think logically, remain calm, and be a great problem solver. Although the position is emotionally rewarding, and provides endless opportunities to have positive effects, and can be stressful at times. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Frequent standing, kneeling, stooping, and bending. Ability to move desk, classroom equipment and adaptive equipment.
