The International Partnership Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing projects that support the development and sustainability of international partnerships. This role serves as a critical liaison between internal teams and global partners, ensuring seamless communication, effective project management, and alignment with institutional goals. The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of international initiatives, including the launch of new global hubs, translation and localization efforts, and content adaptation projects. With a focus on operational efficiency and cultural sensitivity, this position plays a key role in advancing the institution’s mission of global impact through education and ministry partnerships.
Essential Functions

- Oversee the execution of international partnership projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met.
- Develop project plans, set key milestones, and monitor progress across multiple international partnerships.
- Troubleshoot challenges in project execution and adjust strategies as needed.
- Develop and manage partnership proposals, Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and contracts in collaboration with legal and administrative teams.
- Oversee and manage the curation and development of globalized educational content in collaboration with the Deans of the Online School, the Director of Continuing Education, and other academic leaders. Oversee the strategic adaptation and alignment of curriculum to meet the unique needs of diverse international audiences. Provide oversight for translation projects, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy, and guide instructional design initiatives to support impactful global learning experiences.
- Manage international operations. Oversee the logistics and administrative processes related to international projects, including day to day operations and resource allocation.
- Monitor partnership success by implementing, maintaining and forecasting metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of international partnerships and hubs.
- Manage budgets and resources allocated to international initiatives, ensuring efficient use of alignment with financial goals related to growth and sustainment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- BA in International Relations, Business, Global Studies, Education or degrees consistent with those offered at MBI
- Three-five years’ experience in project management, administration, international business, cross-cultural ministry or higher education.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or MS Project).
- Familiarity with cultural sensitivity and working in cross-cultural environments.
Preferred Requirements
- Master’s degree in international relations, Business Administration, Education, Missions or related field.
- Professional certification in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified associate in project management).
- Experience in working with global partners in nonprofit, educational, or ministry contexts.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a full-time position. This role can either be worked remotely (if outside Chicagoland) or a hybrid from both the Chicago campus and from home (within Chicagoland).
International travel is expected for this position.
