What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Chapman Project Coordinator & Administrative Assistant position at The Moody Bible Institute?
As the primary non-managerial administrative support for the Gary Chapman Chair of MTS, the purpose of the Project Coordinator & Administrative Assistant is to support and facilitate the faculty role of the Chair by providing scheduling, coordination of internal and external communication, coordination of strategic projects, arrange for accommodation needs and implementation of general administrative details pertaining to the Chair.
Essential Functions

- Coordinate communication between the Chair and Moody departments including Education and Media (Radio and Publishing)
- Professionally communicate concerning speaking events, agendas, reports, and other information on behalf of the Chapman Chair.
- Collaborate with other seminary administrative staff to ensure clear communication between Chair and Seminary staff.
- Administrative support for scheduling, travel, and accommodations
- Create and maintain calendar for coordination of Chair schedule
- Coordination and development of strategic projects
- Facilitate communication with Chicago and Michigan campus of Moody Theological Seminary.
- Support communication between Chair and Facilities Office Support
- General administrative support
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's degree (minimally, masters preferred)
- Theological perspective consistent with that of MBI.
- Committed and growing Christian life & character.
- Commitment to confidentiality.
- Servant's heart and willingness to support Dean, administrative staff, and faculty.
- Devotion to the mission and ministry of Moody Bible Institute.
- Active in a local church of like faith.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
- Church and/or ministry experience preferred.
- Aware of theological trends in Christian higher education
- Demonstrates administrative and organizational giftedness.
- Goal oriented and self-directed.

- Exhibits high professionalism and integrity.
- Effectively utilizes available technology and systems in performing job responsibilities.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a part-time position which is regularly scheduled to work 12-16 hours weekly. The role is primarily expected to be onsite with some occasion opportunities for remote work.
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
