What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Supervisor (RN) position at The Moorings Park Institute Incorporated?
Moorings Park is looking for a Clinical Supervisor (RN). The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for following established policies and procedures and/or specific instructions from the Director of Clinical Services and Administrator. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring and coordinating quality and safe delivery of home health services that follow applicable licensure/certification requirements for both State and CHAP.
Contributions:
- Supervises and is accountable for Home Health Agency registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, home health aides and companions/home environment support service staff.
- Conducts and documents skills competency on new applicants and on all Home Health Aides / CNA’s and Companions at least annually.
- Evaluates employee performance through supervisory visits and completing a 90-day and annual evaluation on all Home Health Agency staff in accordance with Moorings Park policy and State and CHAP regulations.
- Performs quality assurance audit of documentation to ensure compliance with State/CHAP regulations.
- Hires, trains, orients, counsels, and disciplines home health agency staff in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services.
- Performs timely investigation of client and staff incidents and grievances.
- Develops, implements, and documents orientation, in-service programs, and staff meetings for home health staff. Tracks compliance with CEU regulations.
- Maintains client confidentiality and works in compliance with all HIPAA guidelines and standards.
- Demonstrates the desire to increase client and employee satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required
- During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing and currently licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Florida.
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
- Previous geriatric and home health experience preferred.
