Position Overview
The Senior Business Process Consultant (SBPC) works closely with clients and the Mosaic project team to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows. This individual interacts with various roles and levels within the client organization and is expected to build credibility and trust to be effective. This individual must display a high attention to detail and be able to establish effective working relationships with clients and business representatives.
The SDPC is responsible for assessing, optimizing, and enhancing business processes. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The SBPC will have experience in business process modeling, data analysis, and process improvement methodologies, along with the ability to collaborate across departments to drive operational efficiency. The SBPC will have consulting experience as well as project experience.
Depending on client project availability, this individual may be given internal business process assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate business processes, workflows, and operational performance.
- Develop business requirements, instructional documentation, and presentations.
- Facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather insights and drive process improvements.
- Utilize process modeling tools (e.g., BPMN, UML, Visio, Lucidchart) to map processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with teams across IT, operations, finance, and other departments, and work closely with client executives at various levels.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in process mapping, business analysis, and process improvement.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools for trend analysis and performance metrics.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, as well as project management principles.
- Ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable business insights for diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating high-quality documentation.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., utilities, financial services) is a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with process automation and optimization techniques.
- Ability to ensure processes comply with industry standards and risk management frameworks.

The compensation range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making hiring and compensation decisions. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Mosaic strives to set salaries at, or near the 50th percentile (midpoint) of the range and it is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range for the position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $125,000.00 to $145,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program of up to 6% of annual compensation. The bonus program is dependent on a variety of factors including organizational and individual performance.
