Job Summary

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will provide support for the S4 HANA finance system and its integration with various auxiliary systems such as OTC, PTP, Concur, and banks within the Client landscape. This role involves supporting the newly implemented S4 HANA solution and actively participating in all phases of implementation for new projects, system enhancements, fixes, and upgrades in the finance functional area. The position is highly visible, requiring extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in enterprise-level application configuration and system administration.

Key Responsibilities

Post Go-Live Support : Provide support in Finance and Controlling post Go-Live, including participation in defect triage and resolution. Analyze production issues, propose solutions, and manage ticket resolutions until deployed to the production system.
System Configuration Testing : Update functional design specifications, perform system configuration, collaborate with developers to review changes, create test plans, and conduct unit, integration, and regression testing of system functionalities. Perform quality assurance reviews with technical and integration teams.
Planning Project Management : Participate in division-level planning activities as directed by management. Work on new projects, continuously identify opportunities to improve systems and business processes, and engage in project management and product reviews.
Business Requirements Design Workshops : Lead design workshops and collaborative meetings with the business to transform requirements into functional design specifications and process documents.
Solution Design Implementation : Design Finance and Treasury solutions, interfaces, and conversion objects, ensuring successful implementation across cross-functional teams.
Project Deliverables Scope Management : Manage project deliverables and technology solutions. Monitor project scope, analyze metrics, and communicate with senior management and project teams.
End-User Training : Provide training to end-users on system functionalities and best practices.

Required Qualifications

Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, or equivalent experience in configuring and implementing SAP S4 HANA Finance and Controlling solutions.

Professional Experience :

Experience in the design and implementation of SAP financial business processes and solutions, specifically focusing on GL, AR, AP, Banking, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Controlling (Cost Center Accounting, Transfer Pricing, Internal Orders, Margin Analysis, Profit Center Accounting).

Hands-on experience with SAP S4 HANA Finance modules and integration with third-party solutions such as Concur, supplier payment files, banking solutions, HR, and tax solutions.

Proven experience with Finance legacy balance conversion, mapping, template design, and data transformation / loading into S4 HANA.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) is a plus.

Certifications

SAP Certifications in Finance or related areas are a plus, though not required.

Skills and Attributes

Proficient in gathering business requirements, producing quality design documentation, testing, and implementing system applications and upgrades.

Strong ability to act as the liaison between business users, external development partners, and internal teams.

In-depth understanding of end-to-end business processes and the ability to design original solutions, propose alternatives, and recommend effective implementation strategies.

Knowledge and some hands-on experience with data migration tools like SAP Data Services, LTMC, LSMW, and other ETL tools.

Ability to create reports and basic queries for analysis purposes.

Expertise in managing multiple projects across various stages, from scoping to data conversion.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and achieve results with minimal supervision.

Familiarity with enterprise applications such as SAP, OpenText, CRM, and SharePoint.

Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is preferred.
