Our client, a well-established insurance defense firm in Central Connecticut, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General & Professional Liability (Defense) Litigation Paralegal to join their team! This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work alongside multiple attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, focusing on all aspects of the discovery process and litigation support.

- Prepare court-ready pleadings, motions, and responses for e-filing in Connecticut state and federal courts.
- Manage and maintain a high volume of discovery, including drafting and responding to requests (interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas, etc.).
- Organize and reference large volumes of case-related documents quickly (trial exhibits, deposition transcripts, etc.).
- Support attorneys in defense litigation by managing case deadlines, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Assist in trial and arbitration preparations.
- Maintain and prioritize daily calendars and deadlines, including court filings and document management.
- Handle phone communications with clients, court personnel, and vendors.
- Perform other administrative duties as needed, including billing and scheduling.
- At least 3 years of recent paralegal experience.
- Proven knowledge of federal and state court filing requirements, including e-filing.
- Expertise in document management, electronic calendaring, and .PDF software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent proofreading abilities.
