JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Assistant Manager supports and develops initiatives to ensure the safety of all Team Members and guests at the property. The Security Assistant Manager prepares reports and provides necessary documentation to support property investigations or requests. Reports to the Secuity Manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides oversight and direction during a specifically assigned shift on behalf of the Security Manager
  • Ensures all work schedules are properly executed, and Security Officers are working their assigned area(s) of the gaming floor and other related posts.
  • Is vigilant in monitoring the gaming floor and the HHR Terminals to detect any irregularities with equipment, guests and/or Team Members.
  • As directed, assists in the training of Security Officers.
  • Works side by side with Security Officers and ensures all duties are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner, assisting as needed to get the task accomplished.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other departments and the Manager on Duty.
  • Assists in the coordination of the fire emergency procedures and ensures all staff know their responsibilities in an emergency and react accordingly.
  • At the direction of the Security Manager, initiates investigations related to issues such as theft, dishonesty, criminal damage etc. and submits required follow-up reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • At the direction of the Security Manager may coordinate random searches of Team Member bags, backpacks etc. upon departure from the property and in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Ensures proper radio etiquette is being maintained at all times.
  • Assists in the coordination and execution of the Lost and Found program in accordance with the property Lost and Found Policy.
  • In the absence of the Security Manager, coordinates all key control procedures.
  • Ensures all potential evidence is recorded, copied, prepared and delivered to the Surveillance Department for safekeeping.
  • Investigates all Team Member and guest accidents as instructed by the Security Manager and submits required follow up reports in a timely manner.
  • Provides an escort for HHR Technicians for jackpots, hand pays guests and is responsible for verifying the transaction.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to equipment, procedures and information.
  • Takes on the duties of a Security Officer when necessary.
  • Ensures optimum operation and minimal down time by reporting any malfunctions to the Security Manager.
  • Knowledgeable of all security equipment operation.
  • Responsible and accountable for all keys issued while on duty.
  • Assists the Security Manager with training, scheduling, and developing Security Officers to comply with minimum standards, policies and procedures while ensuring adequate staffing to meet the business needs.
  • Informs Security Manager of Team Members who have breached any procedures.
  • Understands all amenities available for guests.
  • Constantly reevaluates ways to meet the guest’s needs and deals with guest conflicts in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Ensures all services offered by Security Officers are carried out with the utmost efficiency, professionalism, and courtesy.
  • Ensures work areas are kept clean and all necessary supplies are available. Provides BIG Service to internal guests and ensures their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
  • Develops and maintains professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
  • Ensures work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  • Works safely, including clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintains regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings.
  • Maintains professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the workday.
  • Assists with training/mentoring of new Team Members as requested.
  • Maintains all appearance standards in accordance with established uniform and appearance guidelines.
  • Informs manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
  • Keeps a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanor in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.
  • Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity.
  • Works independently with little to no supervision, or as part of a team.
  • Must be (and remain) compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NH Lottery Gaming Badge.

  • Must be able to access and interpret information on computer screens.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted and can be loud with guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye hand coordination.
