Martinsville Speedway hosts a variety of racing events throughout the year, including NASCAR Cup Series races in the spring and fall, as well as other notable events.
Job Description
We are seeking a seasonal employee with maintenance technical expertise to provide services at Martinsville Speedway.
- Maintain the overall condition of the building and grounds.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, facilities, and mechanical equipment.
- Participate in general cleaning.
Familiarity with basic office systems is required, including computer systems and Microsoft Office suite knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is preferred.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Performing preventive building maintenance duties.
- Completing routine plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, and leaking faucets.
- Performing routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assisting in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
- Assembling and moving furniture, hanging pictures, setting up and tearing down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms, and function rooms.
- Participating in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
