Description:NCCER is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to lead business development and sales in the US. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and a business model for the growing direct sales portion of NCCER’s business and working with marketing to develop a strong pipeline and relationships with key partners that yield results. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing new business, with a focus on vocational products and/or workforce development. At NCCER, you will play a leadership role in driving the growth of direct sales products for this leadingcompany in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Market Expansion:
  • Working closely with marketing, develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration
  • Generate direct revenue growth from new and existing customers
  • Working closely with marketing, analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business expansion
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand NCCER’s presence in untapped areas
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with industry contacts
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key target customers, including major industry providers
  • Work with customer service on a customer feedback loop for continuous product improvement
Sales Performance Metrics:
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to continuously optimize sales performance
Forecasting and Reporting:
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses to the executive team, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement
  • Ensure all relevant account and client data is entered into the CRM system in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, BA in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education or a related field. MBA (or equivalent) a plus.
  • Proven experience and success in working greenfield opportunities, and building a new pipeline preferably in the vocational/trades and/or workforce development industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the education landscape and customer
  • A track record of revenue growth and building successful customer relationships
  • Experience in driving sales metrics, including pipeline management, accurate forecasting, progress towards goals, and customer satisfaction
  • Experience in client relationship management; managing partners is a plus

Other Considerations:

  • Based near a major airport with preferred location in the Southeast and ability to travel frequently to the headquarters in Alachua, FL (Gainesville)
  • Ability to travel nationally as needed to customer meetings and industry conferences
  • Base salary, bonus, profit sharing and strong benefits package
