The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) is a dynamic and influential organization dedicated to representing dairy farmers and cooperatives across the United States. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Manager of Government Relations.
Responsibilities
- Engage in direct advocacy with members of Congress, government agencies, and other decision-makers to influence legislation and regulations that impact the dairy sector.
- Monitor policy developments and provide timely analysis to the Executive Vice President on issues that impact the dairy industry.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, policymakers, member cooperative representatives, industry associations, and advocacy groups. Represent NMPF in relevant coalitions and alliances.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including regulatory, trade policy, and communications, and with member cooperative lobbyists to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to policy lobbying.
- Prepare a variety of written materials for both internal and external audiences, including, but not limited to, issue briefs, hill one-pagers, slide presentations, and newsletter articles.
- Plan and participate in advocacy events, hearings, and briefings to promote NMPF's policy positions and enhance the organization's visibility on Capitol Hill.
- PAC : Participate in planning, strategy, and implementation of events related to NMPF’s Political Action Committee.
- Manage and file organization’s quarterly LD-2 lobbying report.
