Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Description:
A warm and laid-back family in Parker, CO, is looking for a long-term special needs nanny to care for their 3.5-year-old son who is full of energy, kindness, and curiosity. This position is perfect for a patient, interactive, and dependable caregiver who enjoys fostering a child's development through play and gentle guidance.
Schedule & Details:
- Tuesday – Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 26 hours per week during the school year, increasing to 32 hours in the summer
- Hourly Rate: $23-$25/hr, depending on experience
About the Child:
- Loving, verbal, and athletic – enjoys outdoor play and ball sports
- Has mild cerebral palsy & a history of epilepsy (seizure-free for two years)
- Currently in speech therapy & has an IEP.
- Communicates in 2-3 word phrases, can express hunger/thirst, and loves engaging with his caregiver
- Gentle parenting approach – prefers redirection and talking through emotions
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging and interactive care (play-based learning, outdoor activities)
- Support developmental milestones and work alongside therapists as needed
- Prepare simple meals/snacks
- Assist with potty training (child is making great progress!)
- Ensure safety and recognize signs related to epilepsy (training provided)
- Maintain a calm, encouraging, and flexible caregiving style
- No travel needed
Ideal Nanny Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of private household childcare experience
- CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Caring, patient, and dependable with an interest in child development
- Comfortable working alongside a laid-back work-from-home parent
- TDAP, COVID, and flu vaccinations required
Benefits & Perks:
- Guaranteed hours (26/week, increasing to 32 in summer)
- Paid Time Off (PTO): 1 week PTO
- Paid Sick Time: 1 hour Paid Sick Time per 30 hours worked. Max 48 hours per year.
- Paid Holidays (Thanksgiving and day after Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, Day after Christmas, July 3rd & 4th)
- No driving required (no pick-up/drop-off)
- No household chores outside of child-related tasks
