Primary Purpose
The Sales & Day Event Coordinator shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position’s priority is to answer all calls and e-mail inquiries related to group sales, and document them in our Active Campaign system software. This position will also develop new day event customer relationships in Colorado and in surrounding regional states as well as promoting Glen Eyrie overnight conferences and retreats.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Respond to all phone calls, email leads, RFPs, and RFIs within a minimum of 24 hours. All phone calls are expected to be answered live during business hours and voicemails to be returned within 24 hours.
- Qualify, book, and event plan all Day events that are contracted.
- Attend weekly team meetings and operational BEO meetings for business booked and contracted.
- Be proficient in the property-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the purpose of responding to inquiries and qualifying guest expectations for bookings.
- Assist with data entry related to group contracts
- Day Event business that is booked must adhere to the current Standard Operating Procedures before booking the event. Deviations must be approved by Director of Sales and Marketing.
- All communication for business inquiries, contracts, and events must be clearly and effectively communicated in a timely manner to all departments.
- Group business bookings must be booked in 60 days or less or approved by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
- Meet or exceed annual day event sales revenue goal. (Combination of closed business or qualified pending opportunities used to meet monthly revenue goals.
- Create and build a master account client list with the Director of Sales & Marketing and update client list quarterly.
- Accurately track Day Event Sales activity through the sales pipeline, sales appointments, sales calls, prospecting calls, maintenance calls, networking, and site tours (daily, weekly, and monthly).
- Community networking and involvement to build client and account relationships, and increased sales revenue.
- Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned
- Participate in developmental events such as Navigator on-site events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
- Read spiritual and cultural development books and literature.
- Participate in the annual, organization wide Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process.
- Submit expense report as needed by the 15th of each month.
- Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.
- Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators
- Has sincere and mature walk with Christ
- 2 years Administrative Assistant experience
- Minimum 2-3 years outside sales experience
- Some college education preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication, presentation, and people skills
- Take initiative for improvement of self and department
- Enjoy challenge of multitasking. Able to juggle several projects at a time.
- Detail oriented. Enjoy managing and organizing detailed work in a way that brings order and efficiency
- Can work independently with little supervision
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills
