What are the responsibilities and job description for the TRANSFORMATION COURSE ASSISTANT position at The Navigators?
The Transformation Course Assistant shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose : To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all activities meet excellent standards of safety for all guests. The duties and responsibilities of this role are critical to ensuring the guest's experience will be treasured.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute Transformation Course programs that are appropriate for the age and ability of the campers, primarily in the roles of ropes course facilitator
- Transformation Course Director will work closely with the Glen Eyrie Program Director. In addition, they will work closely with Group Leaders to develop and communicate program needs ahead of participation date
- Brief groups on safety, equipment, protocol and desired outcomes prior to every outing
- Responsible for ensuring that Ropes Course staff and participants know and adhere to safety guidelines and educational procedures of the ropes course
- Manage and participate in the inspection, and care of the physical high and low ropes course facilities and equipment in the ropes course area.
- Perform ropes, structure and surrounding hazard inspections prior to every day of groups participating in use of course
- Report of monthly hands-on structure inspection in team with Glen Eyrie Programs Director and / or Director of Operations
- Assistance with leading and coordinating groups for the Glen Eyrie Challenge Course
Assisting with leading groups of a variety of sizes and ages through the physical Challenge Course
Properly load, lead and unload participants through the course according to guidelines

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Compensation Range : $ 16.94 / hour
