Here’s where you come in

As a Staff Accountant, you will be at the core of our financial operations, ensuring our books are balanced, our invoices are accurate, and our financial processes are efficient and compliant. This role goes beyond day-to-day bookkeeping—you’ll have the opportunity to refine and create new accounting standards, dive into advanced tools like A2X and Ramp, and play a key role in the financial health and growth of Neato.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Excellence

• Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks and ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations, process invoices, prepare wires, and handle accounts receivable (AR).
• Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring they are accurate and audit-ready.

Accounting Leadership

• Update and create standard accounting procedures to optimize efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with Operations to verify goods received before payment processing and obtain approvals for accounts payable (AP).
• Monitor account balances, track expenses, and prepare financial analyses to produce monthly financial reports.

Strategic Insights

• Assist Executive Leadership with ad hoc financial analyses to support decision-making.
• Leverage data to manage fixed assets, inventory accounting, and compliance with GAAP standards.

Success Measurements

• Timely Reporting: Financial reports are completed accurately and on schedule, with no errors in monthly reconciliations.
• Process Optimization: Updated accounting procedures are implemented seamlessly, reducing processing time by 20%.
• Team Collaboration: Strong cross-departmental communication results in zero discrepancies between Operations and Finance for payables and receivables.
• Growth Mindset: Proactively identify areas for financial process improvement and introduce at least two new solutions annually

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, including proficiency in QuickBooks Online, GAAP standards, and inventory or fixed assets accounting.
• Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Mindset: A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for learning and professional growth.
