Provide a comprehensive exercise education program for patients to support the services offered.Required Qualifications: Exercise Physiologist

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science required.

• Experience with typical exercise rehabilitation equipment required.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, and electronic health record, and typical office equipment (e.g., audio-visual equipment, fax machine, and copy machine) required.

• Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.Preferred Qualifications: Exercise Physiologist

• Experience in rehabilitation/lifestyle modification preferred.

• Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Phase II setting or equivalent experience preferred.

• Experience with electrocardiogram (EKG) monitoring if hired in the cardiovascular/pulmonary rehabilitation area preferred.

• Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology preferred.

• Experience with blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, monitoring equipment, defibrillator and crash cart, oxygen tanks and regulators with aerobic and strength training equipment preferred.

• Experience with ScottCare or other Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab software preferred.

• Experience with EPIC preferred.

• Depending on position available, American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification and/or Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
