What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Counselor position at The Neighborhood Center, Inc.?

We are seeking well-qualified after school counselors to join our team!
Counselors lead and work with a group of 10-15 elementary and middle school aged children. Counselors guide children through a schedule of activities centered around arts and education including: computers, homework, arts & crafts, outdoor sports, reading, board games, and more!
Duties expected of our After School Counselors include:
*Ensure the safety of the children in and out of the classroom
*Provide day-to-day group programming, creating enriching activities and experiences
*Maintain order in the classroom, encouraging a respectful environment and de-escalating conflicts
*Supervise and manage an assigned group of children in a licensed child care/day camp facility as assigned by the Program Director.
We are always looking for great teachers to join our team and offer additional compensation for experience.
Additional qualifications:
* Adult/ Child CPR certification
* First Aid Certification
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 1 years experience in childcare and/or education
* Minimum age 18 years or older.
