Job Title: Accountant
Location: Dalton, GA (Onsite)
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week (Monday through Friday)

Role Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring GAAP and global tax compliance, managing monthly close of books, and handling various accounting functions. This role requires a proactive individual who is eager to streamline processes and contribute to our financial reporting and analysis efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- GAAP Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and guidelines.
- Global Tax Compliance: Oversee global tax compliance and regulations.
- Monthly Close of Books: Manage the day 1 (business day 1) close of books each month.
- Accounts Receivable: Handle invoicing and collections processes.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee vendor payments and related functions.
- Payroll / HR: Manage payroll processes and support HR functions.
- General Ledger Clean-Up: Perform clean-up and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Chart of Accounts: Slim down and optimize the chart of accounts; structure sales chart of accounts for detailed reporting (e.g., setup sale, training sale, recurring sale, discounts).
- Detailed Payroll Data: Enhance payroll data in QuickBooks for FP&A reports.
- GAAP and Tax Rules: Apply external GAAP and tax rules accurately.
- FP&A Internal Rules: Structure data within parameters for effective reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accountant with a strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll management.
- Ability to streamline and maintain the chart of accounts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
