Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as guest services representatives at the Brand-New Hilton Garden Inn Des Moines South of the airport attached to the award-winning Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse.
As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience during their stay. We have openings for part-time AM/PM shift workers.
Responsibilities:
1. Guest Services:
Greet guests warmly and provide them with information about the hotel facilities and services.
Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
2. Reservations and Booking:
Manage room reservations and ensure accurate information is recorded.
Assist guests in booking and modifying reservations via phone calls and in person.
3. Payment Processing:
Process guest payments and provide accurate receipts.
Handle cash transactions and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
4. Communication:
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure timely guest services.
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and courteous manner.
5. Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve guest issues and complaints with empathy and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or management.
6. Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and transactions.
Complete shift reports and communicate relevant information to the next shift.
7. Lobby Maintenance and Market Stocking:
Keep the lobby area neat and organized, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Regularly check and restock the market/snack area with necessary items.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the relevant team.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for handling reservations and check-in/check-out procedures.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation:
AM/PM shift starting pay: Based on experience
