Summary: Assist with maintenance and reliability efforts at the New-Indy Ontario recycled containerboard mill including project management, specification research, failure analysis and documentation. Flexible schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide professional electrical engineering support, leadership, and services in the analysis, planning, and control of the manufacturing process.
- Perform day-to-day engineering tasks in support of the long-term strategic plan for integrating reliability based maintenance activities into the routine business of the organization.
- Participate in Cost Assessment process
- Assist electrical team on complex, electrically driven projects
- Estimate electrical equipment for potential new projects.
- Prepare pipe and valve specifications.
- Prepare equipment specifications and bid packages.
- Work with electrical maintenance department with VSDs, PLCs, distribution, instrumentation.
- Assist electrical project engineer.
- Coordination of electrical design with vendor supplied equipment
- Preparation of construction bid packages and construction specifications.
- Other functions that may be assigned.

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment including Head, Hand, Foot, Eye, and Ear protection.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Current Electrical Engineering student
- Strong time- management, organization, and prioritize skills with the ability to multitask and meet multiple concurrent deadlines
- Ability to learn various Company software packages
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Solid written and verbal communication skills; interact well with all levels of organization.

Pay Transparency: The starting hourly rate for this opportunity is $23.00 per hour. New-Indy provides a variety of benefits to employees, including a retirement savings plan and paid time off (PTO). Please note the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position and assumes a rate based on location and experience.
