ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed and appointed NYCDOE Supervisor
SELECTION CRITERIA:
EXCELLENT RECORD OF ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
ADHERENCE TO SCHOOL POLICIES AND PRACTICES
DEMONSTRATED GOOD COMMUNICATIONS AND HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS
DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO MOTIVATE STUDENTS
KNOWLEDGEABLE IN SCHOOL COMMUNITY EVENTS, ACTIVITIES, AND ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES
EXPERIENCED IN WORKING WITH LARGE AND DIVERSE GROUPS OF STUDENTS AND FAMILIES
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
WORK WITH OTHER COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO RECRUIT STUDENT AMBASSADORS
WORK WITH OTHER COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO DEVELOP AND ORGANIZE A PLAN ACTIVITIES FOR ARTICULATION OF PROGRAM AND EVENTS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, HIGH SCHOOL ORIENTATION AND OPEN HOUSE
ATTEND HIGH SCHOOL FAIRS/ORIENTATIONS/OPEN HOUSES
COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS THROUGH PHONE CALLS, MAILINGS, AND EMAILS ABOUT UPCOMING WORKSHPS, EVENTS, AND ACTIVITIES
COMMUNICATE WITH PARENT COORDINATOR ABOUT UPCOMING WORKSHOPS, EVENTS, AND ACTIVITIES
WORK SCHEDULE:
September 3, 2024 – December 20, 2024
Monday – Friday, except on school holidays and weekends. Schedules may vary, up to 25 hours.
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
