Overview
Based in the Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the Education and Outreach Coordinator will work with the Billy Rose Theatre Division’s librarians and curatorial staff to introduce students of all ages to our world-renowned theatre collections. The coordinator will welcome students and teachers to the Library building and build and maintain relationships with teachers and administrators at local schools to bring our collections into classrooms. This is a 2.5 year temporary position.
We are looking for someone we can count on to :
- Designing curriculum for Theatre exhibitions and collection use
- Coordinating class visits with Theatre Division staff
- Collaborating with the Division’s Program and Outreach coordinator to schedule and manage. K-12 and University use of the Harvey Fierstein Theatre Lab
- Working with K-12 teachers and principals to encourage awareness and use of the Theatre Division
