Production Equipment Specialist

Job Summary: We are looking for a versatile and adaptable individual to join our team as a Production Equipment Specialist. This role will involve learning and supporting the operation, setup, and maintenance of various production equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly acquire new skills and provide support across multiple departments to ensure smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn and operate CNC laser, metal presses, and spiral lock seamers, with an emphasis on flexibility across a variety of production equipment.

• Serve as primary backup operator for the CNC laser.

• Assist in programming CNC equipment.

• Assist in setting up metal presses and serve as primary backup to setup personnel.

• Assist in setting up spiral lock seamers and serve as primary backup to setup personnel.

• Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Document production data, machine issues, and machine performance as required.

• Assist in training new employees in equipment operation.

• Operate production machinery as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic, integrity, and safety-consciousness.

• Strong general knowledge of manufacturing equipment.

• Strong mechanical ability. Will need to have basic tools.

• Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them on the job.

• Flexibility to step into a variety of roles and adapt to changing job demands.

• Good communication skills and the ability to take direction effectively.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

• Experience with PLCs and instrumentation will put you ahead (not required).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and working in varying conditions depending on the role.

• Must be adaptable to different physical demands based on assigned tasks.
