What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skid Steer Operator position at the NIRO companies?

Skid-Steer Operator Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years snow removal experience operating a skid steer
- Understand storm processes, push plans, priority area management, and how to effectively & efficiently clear a property timely
- Skid-Steer Operator will be required to inspect equipment, fluids and report findings each time they service their assigned property for an event.
- Accurately follow directions of a Site Manager for each specific duty.
General Responsibilities & Duties:
- Ability to work at various speeds and concentrate amid distractions with limited oversight or direction.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to remember, examine, and observe details.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Must have knowledge of safety rules and equipment operating regulations.
- Clock in & out in PayCom in real time
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to remove snow across a site under any condition or circumstance using assigned equipment on commercial properties with high traffic
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have reliable transportation to and from designated site location(s)
- Must be available and committed to work on an on-call basis with irregular hours the entire winter season with very short notice at all times in the day, night and holidays.
- Available to respond to texts & phone calls timely with 24/7 availability during the winter season which runs from November through April
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including cold temperatures and heavy snowfall.
- Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
- The duties of this job require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Ability and willingness to work long hours outside in the winter during the snow season and as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, if needed
