The Northeast Group is looking for an individual to fill our open position as Territory Sales Manager in VT, Western MA & CT. This is a full sales commission position (no base salary) with benefits that include health insurance, 401K, vacation and sick time, in-territory travel allowance and out or territory travel paid for.

- 3-5 Years of sales experience (preferably in Housewares or Gift Industry).
- Self-starter who is highly motivated, hard-working, a team player, and able to work in a fast-paced environment that is continually changing.
- Outgoing and energetic personality, as well as a positive attitude and ability to maintain this positive attitude. Friendly disposition and easy to talk to - are a must.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and have adaptability/flexibility.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to act professionally and have good ‘common sense’.
- Active listening skills – “service-minded personality and patience”.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Represent and sell all manufacturers of The Northeast Group according to established policies and procedures.
- Communicate with customers on a daily basis to ensure they have all the information needed to make buying decisions.
- Communicate with all manufacturer sales managers consistently to update them on territory sales and overall details on customers.
- Identify and assess customers or vendors needs to achieve satisfaction. Direct requests and unresolved issues to the sales team or management.
- Consistently search for new customers in a variety of classes of trade.
- Partner with other sales team members to meet and exceed customers’ and manufacturers’ expectations.
- Maintain a current base of product knowledge while servicing customers. Continually look to improve product knowledge through training and self-study.
- Participate in weekly company conference calls to update sales team on information gained during the week.
- Provide sales information through reports and feedback for the territory when asked by management.
- Maintain company samples in working order in order to present to customers when needed.
- Maintain all contact information for customers through the company CRM/Ordering system.
- Keep records of customer interactions and transactions - which will include inquiries, comments, issues, and actions taken.
- Provide and maintain the highest level of Quality, Morals and Ethics while conducting Business.
- Must live within the territory boundaries have access to a personal vehicle for in territory travel
