Since 1964, we have provided high-quality reintegration services to individuals transitioning from incarceration, probation clients, and those under community restoration orders. As a non-profit organization, we operate a 150 bed residential re-entry center, committed to promoting accountability, safety, and positive change in our community.
Position Overview : As a fulltime Resident Re-Entry Specialist , you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and our residents as they transition back into society. This is a key position in ensuring that residents are held accountable while being treated with dignity and respect. Please note that some job duties are gender-specific (e.g., conducting same-gender pat-down searches and observed urinalysis) due to the co-ed nature of our facility. Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor resident behavior and activities to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
- Maintain a secure and orderly environment through regular facility patrols, headcounts, and searches of resident rooms, property, vehicles, phones, and personal searches (pat-downs).
- Respond to emergencies swiftly and appropriately.
- Conduct observed urine collection and breathalyzer testing for residents and other contract clients.
- Control and dispense resident medications and manage self-carry medications and supplements.
- Track resident accountability while they are on approved absences from the facility (e.g., work, social passes).
- Monitor electronic monitoring (GPS) reports for residents in the community and on home confinement.
- Control all entry and exit into the facility to ensure security.
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation of all facility activities.
- Serve as the first point of contact for law enforcement, U.S. Marshals, U.S. Probation Officers, Bureau of Prisons personnel, and other related agencies.
Compensation & Benefits :
