Job Summary
This position is responsible for working in partnership with POIC and Rosemary Anderson High School's community-based programs to address barriers youth and young adults face to employment and educational attainment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties
- Builds professional relationships with participants and supports them in addressing barriers to employment and educational achievement. Engages participants in an in-depth goal setting and monitoring process.
- Develops monthly and annual goals and strategies, monitor progress, and report on outcomes.
- Coordinates the functions of the program including budget, contracts, and participant needs.
Job Duties
Experience / Education
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or equivalent experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with youth / young adults in a school or community-based setting. Experience in workforce development, youth employment, and youth development programming, preferred. Familiarity with trauma informed practice and strength-based approaches to working with participants, preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research. Knowledge of the construction industry preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Career Coaches and other staff / volunteers at the assigned WOT Center. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
