Assistant Banquet Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team and oversee the planning and execution of banquets and events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and a strong background in food service management.
Responsibilities:
- Planning: Collaborate with clients to plan and organize banquet events according to their preferences and requirements.
- Supervising: Oversee banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during events.
- Catering Coordination: Coordinate with the catering team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages during events.
- Staff Management: Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling banquet staff; provide guidance and support as needed.
- Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Event Execution: Manage all aspects of event execution, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control banquet expenses to meet budgetary requirements.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service throughout events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in banquet management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and shift management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training banquet staff is preferred.
- Certification in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
