Job Overview
The principal responsibility of the caregiver or staff member is the safety of our children and to have the understanding, preparation and continuous professional development for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Always supervise children.
- You will be working with children between 2.5 & 5 years old.
- Follow a daily schedule provided by the Director.
- Change diapers 7 or 10 times for every child per day.
- Children daily safety.
- Let the Director or Assistant Director know if a child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, uncommon behaviors or wire attitude.
- Do incident reports when something happens to the children in your classroom and give to the Director or Assistant Director to sign immediately. (with 10 minutes)
- Complete Parent Communication Log
- Play and sing with your children.
Experience:
- Be a least 18 years of age.
- Have a CDA (child development associate) or some equivalent class (preservice).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Complete 8 hours of pre-service training as specified in division 4 of the minimum standards.
- Background and fingerprints.
- First Aid and CPR credentials.
- Complete 24 hours in child development training every year.
- Have a positive and nice attitude with students, families and staff members.
- Complete Center Orientation.
- New Employees are required training 24 hours with 90 days
- Most of all LOVE CHILDREN.
