Position Summary: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The O'Connell House is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for the overall management and direction of the organization. This individual will ensure the effective delivery of programs and services, cultivate a strong organizational culture rooted in Christian values, and drive the organization's growth and sustainability. The CEO will be a passionate advocate for survivors of sex trafficking, embodying compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to the mission of The O'Connell House.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership and Vision:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and vision, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.
  • Provide visionary leadership, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for program expansion and development to meet the evolving needs of survivors.
  • Ensure that all programs and operations are aligned with the Christian values and principles of The O'Connell House.

2. Program Management and Oversight:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents, staff, and volunteers.
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop and implement best practices in trauma-informed care and survivor support.

3. Financial Management and Fundraising:

  • Develop and manage the organization's annual budget, ensuring responsible fiscal management and accountability.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and event planning, to secure adequate financial resources.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, and community partners.
  • Ensure financial transparency and compliance with all reporting requirements.

4. Community Engagement and Advocacy:

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for The O'Connell House, representing the organization to the media, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Advocate for survivors of sex trafficking at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, law enforcement, and other service providers.
  • Raise public awareness about the issue of sex trafficking and the work of The O'Connell House.

5. Staff and Volunteer Management:

  • Recruit, hire, and supervise a high-performing team of staff and volunteers.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to succeed.
  • Cultivate a culture of spiritual growth and development among staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of The O'Connell House.
  • Master's degree in social work, non-profit management, business administration, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a non-profit organization, preferably serving vulnerable populations.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of the issue of sex trafficking and the needs of survivors.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Active and growing Christian faith, with a deep understanding of and commitment to biblical principles.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
