FUNCTION: This position is a part of The Oasis of Dumas Assisted Living Facility team and is primarily responsible for the creation of resident-focused, high performance, and high-commitment to its residents. This incumbent will work with teams that support the philosophy of “Caring for the Whole Person.” The Administrator provides oversight regarding the elite level of care for the residents daily. The incumbent will ensure that the day to day operations of the community and care of the residents are successfully managed.
QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability preferred/required.
- Under the direction of the Owners: the Administrators primary focus is to
ensure that the community is managed well, and the residents
receive the best care whilst being treated with dignity and respect.
- Plans facility budget
- Hires and maintains staff
- Conducts weekly meetings with department heads
- Responsible for marketing the facilities services to a wider community
- Partners with the Board when instituting and implementing new policies and procedures.
- Monitors the facilities compliance with state, city and county regulations.
- Acts as a liaison between residents, families, staff and the community.
- Engages with residents and staff via facility walkthroughs
- Develops a culture of compassion throughout the facility
- Ensures a safe, equitable, and engaging living environment
- Keeps the facility pivoted towards resident-centric operations.
- Audit employee files to ensure they are complete, up to date and ready for
a state survey.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
- Read, write and speak and understand the English language.
- Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law for abusing,
neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are
ineligible for employment in this position.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills.
- As required by state law, must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must enjoy working with the seniors and able to accept constructive
criticism.
- Ability to interact with residents who are highly susceptible to common
illness without posing additional health risks.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete
duties/projects within the allotted time
- Ability to define and solve problems, including the ability to collect and
interpret data from a variety of sources.
- Must be able to express yourself adequately in writing or orally with
residents, family members, staff visitor or volunteers.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment which includes, but not
limited to, computer, copier, and fax, and be able to operate and
automobile and van.
- Ensure successful implementation of our Operations Policies and
Procedures and programs within the guidelines of state regulations and
The Oasis of Dumas Assisted Living policy and procedures.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support through effective

Must demonstrate patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
- Attend and/or lead all in-service training set by the Community.
- Ability to remain calm under stress.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
