Position Overview
The Offices is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial Event Manager with exceptional customer service skills and a passion for hospitality and corporate event planning. The Event Manager will be responsible for booking, managing and executing corporate events at our downtown venue, The Tavern and nearby Zion’s Farm venue. The Event Manager will have the opportunity to use their creativity and marketing expertise to contribute to outreach and promotional efforts for both venues. As the event venues expand, the Event Manager will assist with recruiting, supervising and developing facilities and event support staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
- Proactively sell the event venues and manage contract negotiations
- Prospective client outreach and follow-up communications
- Respond to inquiries and questions from prospective and current clients via phone, email,
- website, and social media
- Schedule and conduct venue tours with prospective clients
- Collaborate with the Marketing staff to promote the venues through the website, social media,
- phone calls, and in-person networking
- Build network of corporate events industry contacts and preferred vendor lists
Event Planning & Logistics
- Develop, plan, and execute in-person and hybrid corporate events, including liaising with
- Audio Visual, Catering, Florists, Décor rentals, and other vendors
- Manage the venue's event calendar
- Coordinate and conduct venue tours and pre-event walk-throughs with clients
- Develop and oversee event timelines, including setup, teardown, and cleaning
- Manage onsite event logistics before, during, and after events
- Focus on continuous improvement for venues, events, and overall processes to increase
- client satisfaction and efficiency
- Other tasks as assigned
Facilities Management
- Open the facility for events and tours
- Oversee the facility’s maintenance and cleaning schedule
- Assist with event setup and tear down of tables, chairs and audio-visual
- Organize and close the facility after events and tours
Skills
- Corporate meeting and event planning

Required Qualifications
- 3 years of hospitality experience, including corporate event planning
- 3 years of marketing experience, with a focus on managing social media platforms
- 1-2 years of sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively both
- written and verbally
- Strong technical skills and experience with the Google and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to last minute changes
- Collaborative team player
- Ability to work non-traditional hours for events that include nights and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in corporate event sales
- Proficiency in graphic design and/or social media content creation
- Experience in facilities or venue management
Excellent benefits package. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Base pay plus commission.
