Program Manager - Healthy Community Center

Scope of Position
The Program Manager will report to and work closely with the Director of the Healthy Community Center to assist with overseeing and expanding the Healthy Community Center’s Nutrition, Wellness, and Youth programming. By developing, streamlining, and creating efficiencies with the long-term goal of advancing strategic initiatives of the Healthy Community Center; and participating in planning activities consistent with the vision, mission, and strategic goals of OSUWMC. This position will have oversight of the Senior Program Coordinators and provide support to the Healthy Community Center’s governance responsibilities, including but not limited to Healthy Community Center’s Advisory Board and community ‘Advisory Boards. As part of their responsibilities this person will cultivate and promote positive relationships with members of the Central Ohio Community and beyond. Ensure successful implementation of any outreach activities, innovative methods for program delivery, including technology-based solutions and hybrid in-person/virtual models..
Position Summary
Supports the coordination of the Wexner Medical Center’s Health Equity and Healthy Community Center strategy. The Program Manager will support the Director of the Healthy Community Center in creating programmatic leadership and implementation across all three mission areas.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred in in place-based settings, particularly within underserved or historically marginalized communities. Preference will be given to candidates with a working knowledge of community organizing. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and build trust with diverse stakeholders in community-based initiatives. Demonstrated knowledge of principles of community engagement and the practice of community engagement. Demonstrated skills in digital technology, demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects. Ability to learn new systems software. Independent and self-motivated.
