SCOPE OF POSITION
Nutrition Services administers quality nutritional care and food service operations for patients, staff and visitors in Wexner Medical Center facilities, campus and the communities we serve. The Department coordinates activities to enhance patient, staff and customer satisfaction. The Department is responsible for nutrition care and food service and retail food operations for patients, staff and visitors to the various locations including University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital, James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, University Hospital East, OSU Harding, BistrOH! to go locations at Eye and Ear Institute, Martha Morehouse Medical Plaza, Ackerman Road complex, Care Point East and Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center and the new BistrOH! to go on the Concourse.
Position Summary
Works as part of the leadership team, assisting Assistant and/or Associate Directors in leading and managing all daily operations in primary areas of responsibilities.Oversees clinical nutrition services for James, UH, UHE, Ross, Dodd and Harding inpatients to assure that quality nutrition care is provided to positively impact patient outcomes. Assures inpatient clinical nutrition staff competency and coordinates ongoing training and development. Provides oversight and direction for required Joint Commission standards for department. Assures financial, operational and staffing budgets for assigned area are met and oversees productivity assessment and data collection. Works outwardly in the health system developing and maintaining key stakeholders for nutrition services. Serves as a leader and resource for health system and professional organization. Assumes responsibilities for other areas when needed and acts on behalf of Assistant Director when needed.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree
Required Qualifications
Registered, licensed dietitian with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Masters degree, CNSC and previous work experience as a dietitian is preferred.
