What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Maintenance Operations Analyst position at The Ohio State University?
As a member of Transportation and Traffic Management, this position is responsible for operations including processing and reconciling invoices, customer work orders, updates billing work tags that interface with the university’s financial system, responsible to ensure operational processes are followed, creates new and updates existing processes, ensures schedule aligns with available capacity and creates strategy to maximize throughput efficiency, forecasts future workload using historical data, and monitors performance indicators and acts upon them accordingly,
Prepares estimates and communicates with external departments and vendors.
Supports operations manager and acts as supervisor during manager’s absence.
80% Operations
- Processes and reconciles invoices
- Reviews work orders for accuracy, makes financial adjustments to work orders, and closes completed work orders
- Prepares cost estimates
- Updates work tags in fleet management system
- Updates asset records
- Assigns purchase orders to work orders
- Creates new and updates unit operation processes
- Aligns schedule with available capacity and creates strategy to maximize throughput efficiency
- Forecasts future workload
- Monitors performance indicators and acts upon them accordingly
- Prepares and analyzes reports, including key performance measures such as mechanic productivity, turn-around times, etc.
- Determines warranty eligibility status and processes warranty claims
- Manages external department relationships
- Manages external vendor relationships
- Supports operations manager

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications
One year experience in fleet operations desired. Experience working as an automotive service writer or technician desired. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficient using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software. Ability to perform detailed work and maintain accurate documentation. Possess strong customer service focus. Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service skills required. Holds ASE service writer certification or able to obtain one within six months. Works independently.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 55,100 - $72,400. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
